Responsibilites: SUMMARY:
This position oversees the operations of a specific Television Station from technical operations, traffic, fiscal and administrative responsibilities.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Administer corporate credit policies and procedures
•Check client credit references
•A/R collections. Maintain station A/R aging, including clearing up discrepancies.
•Work closely with station ROM on credit and administrative issues
•Processing A/P invoices from coding & station approvals to data entry into Accounting system. Maintain petty cash fund. Maintain Corporate Credit Card spending and reconciliation.
•Responsible for reviewing and approving employee e-Time timesheets.
•Preparation of station budget, monthly budget variance explanations, and other accounting analysis reports as requested by Corporate or ROM.
•Maintain station personnel files, ensure appropriate personnel paperwork is completed and submitted to corporate in a timely manner
•Handle miscellaneous personnel matters as requested by corporate or station ROM.
•Order office supplies as needed, within budget parameters
•Maintain station Public File in accordance with FCC requirements
•Liaison between corporate & station, credit & collection, accounting & HR
•Responsible for generating, editing and verifying accuracy of daily program logs ensuring all paid programs and commercials run in compliance with agency instructions.
•Responsible to notify and work closely with the salespeople to ensure accurate processing of all orders, copy, makegoods, and discrepancies.
•Produce various revenue and/or avails reports for ROM and Corporate.
•Reconciliation of daily logs. Format all necessary program and schedule changes.
•Enter and manage copy for all National and Local orders.
•Maintain current and previous years’ files of daily program logs, sales contracts and end of month discrepancy reports
•Other miscellaneous projects as assigned by corporate or station ROM
Skills: EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Bachelor’s degree required in Business/Communications or related field
•Minimum 3 years experience in Broadcasting/Network/Cable industry with broadcasting traffic experience preferred.
•Supervisory experience required
•Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
•Excellent computer skills a must – including MS software
•Credit and Collection experience required
•Detailed oriented
•Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet strict deadlines
•Ability to analyze reports and worksheets
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general company policies & procedures, and government regulations
