Content Operations Associate-Spanish Language Specialization
Hulu's Content Operations team is seeking a digital video professional with the skills to help our partners to deliver digital video assets to our atypically high quality bar. Strong written and editorial skills in both English and Spanish languages are required. An ideal candidate will also have experience with digital video production, will be able to quickly diagnose common audio/video issues like interlacing, blended frames, aspect ratio problems on the first day. The perfect candidate will also have experience translating and aligning captions both in English and Spanish. Most importantly, an ideal candidate will be able to quickly and concisely communicate the solutions to any problems back to our content partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an early contact with our content partners to facilitate testing and ensure operational quality and consistent delivery
- Maintain content delivery systems and help partners debug and resolve issues with content delivery
- Assist QA/Publishing department with debugging time-sensitive video issues
- Help improve and develop partner workflows and best practices for delivery to Hulu
- Independently analyze situations and problem-solve solutions, often with limited tools
- Demonstrate exemplary judgment and creative thinking to help improve content throughput and decrease content rejections
- Help develop and refine feedback to technology team for content toolset
- Maintain a abnormally high quality bar, helping to ensure that publishing operates at maximum efficiency
Qualifications
- Extremely strong communication (spoken and written) skills in both English and Spanish
- Experience encoding and creating digital videos using Final Cut Pro or Avid Systems
- Ability to deliver brain-spray awesome results in a multitasking-heavy environment
- TV post-production workflow experience is a plus, but not required
- Subtitle creation or translation experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with network file systems, high-speed transfer services, SQL-style databases a plus, but not required
Education
Bachelor's Degree, TV/Film Production preferred
