Details: Fishbowl Worldwide Media is currently seeking winter interns for its Social Media and Digital Entertainment team.

FishBowl Worldwide Media is an independent production company founded in 2010 by entertainment industry veterans Vin Di Bona and Bruce Gersh, with the creative team led by Susan Levison. This next generation studio is a transmedia storyteller developing properties for film, television, digital platforms and brands by partnering with marketers, digital companies and ad agencies in addition to the Hollywood creative community. Currently, FishBowl is in production on several television properties, working with networks such as NBC. Fox, Discovery Channel, HGTV, MTV and truTV.

Led by David Beebe, FishBowl’s Digital division includes among its projects the hit web series, CuteWinFail, which is ranked in the YouTube Comedy Channel Top 20 with more than 25 million video views, Ultimate Proposal, an original series for Yahoo! with over 20 million views and 30,000 comments, and the animated web series The Potts.

Interns will work with the Social Entertainment Department to promote and extend the experience of our shows and content across different social media platforms. They will engage directly in online conversations to develop user communities, increase brand awareness and encourage authentic sharing of content through social movements and campaigns built around our digital shows. Should be familiar with best practices in forum posting, keywords and hashtags as well as familiarity with the following sites: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Pintrest, Tumblr Foursquare GetGlue and more.

Interns will create monthly social channel insight reports that highlight their efforts on social channel projects and campaigns as well as highlighting user reactions and engagement. You will be involved in translating user insights into new campaigns and programs and will work with the digital team to brainstorm and implement new ideas.

This position would be a good fit for film and television storytellers and producers, journalism, creative writing, marketing, and advertising majors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in social media and building an audience around content. If you have a twitter, blog, tumblr or other social media platform you have developed, we want to see it. You should be passionate about emerging trends and technology online and how they can be used to tell stories and build enduring online communities.

Candidates must be able to multi-task, prioritize, research, meet deadlines, and work within a fast-paced project-oriented environment.

We are looking for interns who are available Monday through Friday and are able to commit to 30 hours a week. All internships are unpaid and are for-credit only. All applicants must be eligible to receive school credit in exchange for the internship.
Salary: College credit
