EMI Christian Music Group in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Manager, Creative Services.

Job Purpose
Manage creative process through creative meetings and monitoring of release schedule.
Provide creative research for Imaging and Campaign needs. Facilitate the planning for assigned photo shoots. Oversee image approval and retouch for artist images. Oversee design of packaging and merchandise as assigned. Design as needed.

Essential Job Functions

•Manage (marketing, production, overhead, capital expenditure, etc.) budgetary items effectively and efficiently, to ensure company assets are utilized in accordance with EMI policy and are aligned with the CMG and Divisional Strategic Plans.

•Work with Creative Director, Artist Development, and A&R to research and develop strategic branding concept for each campaign including research for image, styling and location needs. Be prepared to share information as needed in all creative meetings.

•Manage the planning of photo shoots including all travel meals, directions, budget, contracts, and booking for creative team members and provide thorough and timely communication to Artists, Mangers and creative team for all details for project.

•Responsible to monitor the approved budget while coordinating photo shoot and throughout the project to keep all spending within the set limits. GL and send invoices for accurate payment. Fill in actual spend on completion of job.

•Negotiate and secure signed contracts with designers and photographers in regards to usage rights of photos and artwork, archive contracts on server for quick access.

•Constantly seek out new vendors for photography, Art Direction, Design, stylist and groomers.

•Oversee and coordinate design for music packaging and marketing materials in order to execute approved concept.

•Work with photographers to provide gallery for viewing/approving all images. Order all final approved high resolution images. Retouch images as needed. Archive all images on hard drive. Archive all approved images on server.

•Prepare files for print; run preflight and output preview, check PMS colors, Load for Manufacturing.

•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Desired Skills and Experience

Proficient in:
•Well-rounded knowledge of photography and design
•Proven art direction skills
•Ability to choose, mobilize and lead creative teams
•Ability to handle multiple projects in deadline oriented environment
•Working knowledge of Mac programs including photo shop, quark express, acrobat and illustrator

Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent
•Two years experience in design or photography
