We are seeking candidates for the position of a Production Manager in our Silver Spring, Maryland office.
Position Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day business management and cost control of broadcast marketing production.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the pre- through post- production process for promotional deliverables with a major emphasis on workflow efficiency and financial discipline.
2. Manage the overall post-production schedule for both in- and out-of-house edits, sound mixes, etc., as well as, the related Marketing budget.
3. Work with Producers to create estimates for broadcast productions.
4. Oversee vendor production shoots.
5. Handle all financial matters with production companies, including, but not limited to bidding, negotiations, and overages.
6. Assist project management staff in preparation of contracts.
7. Request purchase orders for all out of house work.
8. Check all vendor invoices and approve for payment (in conjunction with the Producer).
9. Track all production spending (estimate vs actual).
10. Provide consistent production support to Creative Directors and Writer/Producer staff.
Requirements:
* Must have 5 years related production experience
* Understanding of AICP and AICE bid forms
* In depth knowledge of television and radio production
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and able to work on multiple projects, in various stages of production, simultaneously
* Ability to perform under pressure
* Network/broadcast production experience preferred
* Integrity, strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
* Proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe, Lotus Notes, and Outlook. Proficiency with Powerpoint preferred, but not required
* Must be a team player and work with all levels of management
