This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Intern will have exposure to all areas of the HR function, including but not limited to, benefits administration, compensation, HR policies and procedures, learning and development, employee relations, federal and state employment law, organizational development, and team building.
By working closely with the VP, Human Resources, the Human Resources Intern will gain hands on experience in multiple areas of HR through a variety of projects and assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the interests of the selected intern, here are some projects and assignments that the intern may work on:
• Gain understanding of federal and state employment laws through conducting an employee file audit
• Create and editing learning and development materials for internal learning courses for managers and teams.
• Create organizational systems for HR functions, including time off tracking, benefit changes, and other personal information changes
• Assist in internal roll-out of Company mission statement and values
• Brainstorm and assist in team building events
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Currently a student, majoring in Business, Human Resources or similar, and able to receive college credit for this internship experience
• Able to work 20-25 hours per week
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail
• Demonstrated interest in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar fields.
