Senior Android Developer

This is a Full Time Job

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with 6+ years of Software Development Experience for our Burbank or San Diego, CA facilities.

Job Duties:

- Responsible for the design and development of our next generation of Android clients for mobile and tablet devices.
- Participate in the process of creating detailed product requirements from high-level objectives.
- Build relationships with peers and other teams to achieve objectives, maintain objectivity, and give and welcome feedback on design/implementation decisions.
- Be self-directed in a fast paced, growing organization with the ability to balance multiple priorities and objectives simultaneously.
- Be a leader of and enforce Agile principles within the product development team.

Job Requirements:

- 6+ years of relevant software development experience.
- 2+ years of Android development experience.
- Deep understanding of video formats, playback, streaming, UI frameworks, and developing for multiple screen sizes.
- Experience in building video playback applications on Android.
- Excellent communicator who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and simple design.

Pluses

- Experience on other mobile platforms/technologies such as Blackberry, and iOS.
- One or more published Android and/or Blackberry apps.
- Experience with Digital Rights Management (DRM) including PlayReady, OMA, WMDRM, AES
- Experience developing and/or interfacing with WS APIs (SOAP/REST/JSON)
- Experience with Agile principles and practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, daily Scrums, and sprint/release planning and execution.
