Staff/Senior Accountant

Position Purpose:

To provide assistance in accounting and financial reporting for Concord Music Group

Core Responsibilities:

Month-End Close Process
General Accounting Tasks

Outline of Specific Functions:

Month-End Close Process
• Process monthly journal entries including accruals, amortizations, prepaid expenses, and reclassifying journal entries for month-end close.
• Perform reconciliations on balance sheet accounts and research variances.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly and year-end financial package.
• Assist with preparation of supporting schedules for quarterly and year-end audits.

VRPG & CMG General Accounting Tasks
• Perform miscellaneous analysis on accounts as requested.
• Assist with maintenance of MAS500 system, including setting up of new accounts.
• Provide support schedules for audit and ad hoc reports for management.
• Resolve finance related problems and other duties that may be assigned occasionally.

Requirements:
• B.A. or B.S. in Accounting plus at least three years of general ledger experience, or a bachelor in other fields with at least five years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
• Must be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Proficient in general computer skills; such as accounting software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, familiar with MAS500 or SAP accounting software a plus.
• Good communication skills.
