CENTERSTAGING, LLC is LA's premier rehearsal and backline facility, specializing in production and technical support for television and live performances. CenterStaging works closely with the top musical artists on the planet and notable production companies who produce some of the most watched and anticipated live events, such as the GRAMMY's, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, American Idol, Country Music Awards, the Coachella & StageCoach Music Festivals, and so many others. Offering 10 state-of-the-art rehearsal studios and services including an extensive range of backline, an instrument repair center, storage lockers, cartage services, and onsite cafe & catering facility.
We currently have an opening for GENERAL MANAGER. This position is located in Burbank, California.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting the Board and staff with the development and initiation of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers/clients to their satisfaction.
• Create, maintain and communicate timelines and budgets with owners and staff.
• Oversee preparation of annual budget, regular variance statements and annual audit.
• Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the company.
• Provide vision and leadership in long range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the company.
• Provide recommendations regarding effective utilization of long and short term debt, including refinancing and purchasing/sales.
• Contract management and execution.
• Managing of onsite tenants.
• Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel.
• Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times.
• Direct production activities to insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory compliance, and lease agreements.
• Oversee and/or ensure good housekeeping at site at all times.
• Maintain general oversight and insure accuracy of records including A/R, A/P, Inventory, etc.
• Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management.
• Oversee content, production and distribution of all marketing and publicity materials
• Initiate corrective action process as needed. Create policies and procedures to improve quality of deliverables in the future.
• Policy development and documentation.
• Performance management and improvement systems.
• Work directly with Board of Directors, including arranging meetings and agendas, attending and creating meeting minutes.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• 3-4 years experience working with clients in the entertainment industry; music background helpful.
• A minimum of five years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight.
• A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration.
• A minimum of three years of experience working with a board of directors and committees.
• Proven skills in business and financial management.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
• Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.
• Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Must be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet, order processing, project management, and database software.
• Demonstrated ability to multi - task and work in a fast - paced office setting.
• Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
Must be flexible to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet client needs and deadlines.
