Details: The Promotion Department at Boosey & Hawkes is seeking a Promotion and Publicity Intern with knowledge of contemporary classical music and interest in the world of music publishing and promotion.

The Promotion and Publicity Intern will assist with the following:

• Conducting research on artistic administrators, choreographers, journalists, and performers for targeted promotions
• Maintaining the internal contact database
• Maintaining the perusal score library
• Implementing promotion and publicity projects (i.e. coordinating mailings, creating and maintaining press and marketing materials)
• Other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in music or a related field
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite), with the ability to quickly learn new programs

Scheduling is flexible, but candidates should be able to work approximately 20 hours per week during the Spring 2012 semester.
Salary: This is an unpaid internship for college credit only.
