The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), L.A. Local is part of a national labor union representing over 70,000 performers on radio, television, and sound recordings, including actors, dancers, singers, stunt performers, announcers, radio DJ’s, talk show hosts, and news reporters and anchors. AFTRA Los Angeles is currently looking for an Membership Representative.
Under the direction of the Membership Supervisor, the Membership Representative will be responsible for processing and updating membership information. Duties include, but are not limited to customer service, data entry, administrative duties, and communicating AFTRA membership policies to members and prospective members.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Process and update membership information using proprietary software.
2. Communicate AFTRA membership policies to members and prospective members.
3. Maintain membership files.
4. Handle heavy phone volume.
5. Distribute union related materials.
6. Answer member inquiries.
7. Interface with other departments regarding membership matters.
8. Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong customer service skills.
2. Computer proficient.
3. Data entry proficient.
4. 10 key proficient.
5. Detail oriented.
6. Ability to self-start, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
7. Ability to multi-task.
8. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
Compensation: $33,452.64/yea
