Part-time paid internship, 2-3 days/week. Small company with projects in various stages of development and focus on adapting Japanese IP for US and worldwide market. Seeking a capable, enthusiastic, and passionate intern to join our staff. Internship mainly consists of evaluating properties, research into property and creator histories, writing synopses and character descriptions, assisting in the creation of presentation materials, and additional coverage as needed; the focus of the work is consideration of how to adapt underlying cultural, narrative, and story structure elements for the purposes of English-language adaptations.
Qualifications:
Requirements: excellent writing and research skills, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint), experience and interest in script/property coverage and story analysis. Graphic design skills a plus. Knowledge of/interest in Japanese media and popular culture (anime, manga, novels, films, TV, games), Japanese cultural knowledge and language skills a plus.
