ABOUT THE ROLE
Salary: $28 - $40ph
Location: El Segundo, CA/Hybrid Remote Working
Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday shifts, including evening work
Contract: Full time, temporary
Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Video Editor/Encoder to join our busy Technical Operations team. Working within the Post-Production department, the Video Editor/Encoder will be responsible for the successful delivery of video/audio files/IMF packages/elements that meet the needs and specifications of ZOO's clients.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
Creating/compiling both intermediate and final video masters for various client uses
Standards/frame rate/format conversions from various master files/tapes
Maintaining current and appropriate editing skills as they pertain to trends and practices.
Compression/encoding of videos
Tape layback from finished timelines
Basic audio mixing (edits / conforms)
Compositing
Basic color correction
Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must have the ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
All on site ZOO employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must provide CDC verification of their vaccination status as part of the onboarding process before starting.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for applicants with a self-starter attitude, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with competing deadlines. All applicants must have knowledge of digital media formats, broadcast, and general streaming protocols, as well as a desire to learn about new technology.
We are also looking for the following skills and experience;
Ideally a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough knowledge of editing tools and techniques are required [i.e. Adobe Suite, DVS Clipster, Colorfront Transkoder etc.], as well as practical experience with file-based workflows and operational knowledge of machine room environments.
Skilled in Mac OS and PC operating systems, with a strong emphasis on video editing programs
Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere; Knowledge of other programs in Adobe Suite preferred, but not required
Knowledge of color correction using different LUT's within Premiere or DaVinci Resolve a plus.
Experience with UHD video, Dolby Audio, and IMF deliverables recommended.
Familiarity with Dolby metadata is a plus, but not a requirement.
Experience with Telestream Vantage or similar automation software.
Experience with Mastering and/or Current Air deliverables.
