Yondr has a simple purpose: to show people how powerful a moment can be when we aren't focused on documenting or broadcasting it. We create phone-free spaces for musicians, comedians, teachers and organizations.
Yondr is seeking an Artist Relations & Development Manager to develop and maintain partnerships with artists, managers, agents, promoters and other entities in the music and comedy world. Reporting to the Director of Music & Events, this person will need to spread the word, connect for in-person meetings, grow partnerships and sales, and maintain ongoing relationships.
Yondr creates global phone-free events and tours for artists including Dave Chappelle, Jack White, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer, Childish Gambino, Michael Che, Bruno Mars, Ellen DeGeneres, and more. Our events range from intimate listening parties to 20,000 capacity arenas.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster relationships with artists, managers, agents, labels, promoters, venues, festivals, tour crews and other important personnel to ensure streamlined communication and successful execution of Yondr events, shows and tours
- Effectively communicate the unique benefits of Yondr in the entertainment industry and beyond
- Identify opportunities for new Yondr shows, conduct proactive reach outs, and manage end-to-end deal
- Collaborate with Yondr finance and production teams to prepare proposals and communicate to artists
- Work closely with Yondr production teams to advance and execute shows
- Develop event marketing and press strategy with marketing team
- Close new business opportunities through phone and in-person meetings
- Manage client expectations in order to ensure successful execution of all deals
- National and international travel; entertainment industry hours, including some evenings and weekends
Skills & Experience:
- 5-10 years experience in artist management, production, talent agencies, promotions or PR
- Relationship-driven, non-transactional
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective problem solver with strong organization skills
- Creative, unconventional thinker
- International experience is a plus
- Communicates best in-person
- Pragmatic with a bit of whimsy
- Lover of live music and the outdoors?
