Full Time Job
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule all Talent medical appointments/procedures along with follow-up visits
• Organize and attend pre-contract screening tests
• Partner closely with medical and athletic staff to check-in on Talent regarding: injuries, diagnoses, treatments, surgeries, and clearance to return
• Conduct weekly medical call with staff doctors and athletic trainers
• Work with insurance company to resolve any issues and approve claims weekly
• Maintain a log of diagnostic tests, ordered and received, in addition to, documenting reasons for medical attention
• Document immunizations and treatments, as well as medications, under the supervision of the medical staff
• Order medical equipment, supplies, and testing for the medical and athletic staff
• Manage medical billing, as well as, vendor invoice payments
• Prepare and generate weekly reports
• Proactively communicate issues and follow-up with medical staff
• High level administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to answering phones, scheduling meetings, booking travel, scanning and filing
• Assist Talent Relations team as needed in an administrative capacity:(appearance invoices, special projects, ad hoc requests)
Requirements:
• 2 years related experience in the medical field (ideal candidate will come from a medical office)
• Bachelor's degree and/or Certification in the medical field preferred (ATC, MA, CNA, RN)
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, manage multiple priorities and tasks, and maintain attention to detail
• Prior experience in and ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Understand and ability to use basic medical terminology and coding
• Highly organized with superior time management skills
• Self-motivated and works well independently
• Knowledge of insurance company intricacies
• Familiarity with processing invoices and billing practices
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel
• Ability to travel (30%)
