WWE is seeking a proficient Social Media Editor, for this long term temporary opportunity, to work with our Advanced Media Group! This individual will have a consistent track record in conceiving and producing high-quality, high-interest content under quick turnaround timelines.
The Advanced Media Group is a division within WWE that is responsible for all WWE digital and social media platforms, as well as WWE Network and documentary programming. WWE has more than 1 billion total social media followers across 18 platforms! The Advanced Media Group is a fast-paced environment comprised of many hardworking individuals.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day social production and programming efforts for flagship WWE platforms, with a focus on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Produce engaging content for WWE's social media platforms at each iteration of the process, from conceptualizing to publishing.
• Curate content across WWE social media platforms during live television programs and drive conversation among WWE fans on Twitter
• Use critical metrics to measure success, generate comprehensive reports and inform future content decisions
• Pitch and generate original content across multiple platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat
• Coordinate with digital design, photography, video production teams to support daily multi-faceted, multimedia content creation
• Develop cohesive social media strategies for several corporate departments under the WWE umbrella, with focus on platform monetization
• Identify social media trends and emerging platforms
• Independently generate grammatically accurate and polished copy with minimal edits required
• Keep current with WWE programming, storylines, talent, brands and products
Qualifications:
• 3-4 years of experience in sports, entertainment, lifestyle, television and/or interactive content field, content production and channel programming
• Background in writing, editing and collaborating in the web or mobile space
• Strong editorial judgment with proven track record of independently conceiving and publishing compelling content across multiple mediums
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Experience working with social and/or video management and publishing systems (Sprinklr, Grabyo, Facebook Creator Studio, Twitter Media Studio etc.)
• Highly organized, time manager who can multitask, focus on details and thrive under pressure.
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends
• Working knowledge of WWE shows, talent and WWE Network strongly preferred
• Sharp eye for social media trends and emerging platforms
• Impeccable grammar and diction required
• Proven proficiency with using the Internet/social media as a content cultivation resource and other various uses
• Familiarity with analytic tools and metric tracking (e.g. CrowdTangle, SocialBakers, Sprinklr)
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required
