Social Media Editor (FTE) – WWE China
We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and results-driven Social Media Editor to join our team in China and manage two of our most important social media platforms in the region.
Based in Shanghai, the right candidate will have the ability to think both creatively and strategically in developing excellent social media content for new and existing WWE fans.
Strong, confident writing skills with a sense of humor is an excellent qualification. Chinese social media fluency and WWE brand knowledge are a must.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of WWE's Weibo and WeChat accounts
• Write and publish daily posts across key WWE China social media accounts (Weibo, WeChat, etc.)
• Implement and maintain a unique editorial tone that is consistent with the WWE brand and appeals to Chinese audiences
• Help manage various WWE superstar accounts in China
• Daily English-to-Chinese subtitling of video content
• Develop creative ideas to improve fan engagement and grow WWE's social media following in China
• Monitor and report on trends in social media, pop-culture, and leading digital platforms
• Become an advocate for the WWE brand in China by engaging with contemporaries in the digital industry, relevant KOLs, etc.
Requirements:
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Active social media user
• 3+ years' experience in copywriting and/or social media content management
• Working knowledge of Weibo and WeChat operations
• Creative thinker who is a team-player and has excellent communication skills
• Strong knowledge of WWE brand, storyline, and Superstars
• Passion for digital media, American sports, and entertainment
