Director, International Sales
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Partnerships, this role will lead WWE's international sponsorship sales across all platforms and markets outside the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead international sponsorship sales, including local sales Agencies, in collaboration with local market leaders and Partnership Marketing team
• Establish and execute global sales strategy, including prioritization of markets, definition of packages, and global sales operating model
• Work closely with regional media distribution partners on co-sale opportunities to drive revenue for WWE and partners
• Plan and operate a business in markets with broad cultural and socio-economic differences, varying market maturity, and quickly changing consumer behavior
• Provide leadership across regions to develop and deliver on annual sponsorship revenue targets and tactical execution plans
• Report on progress and plans through regular updates to senior management
• Define and adhere to best practices for partnership delivery, in collaboration with local-market WWE teams, and Partnership Marketing team
• Work with Legal and Business Affairs and regional sponsorship teams to provide framework for negotiations and closely monitor deals from initial agreement through contract execution
• Monitor the media marketplace to stay current with International market trends and pro-actively drive tactics to maximize brand value for the benefit of the entire company in a market
Candidate Profile:
We seek a media executive who has successfully delivered revenue via international sponsorship of a content and/or live event driven company. This person must be able to manage effectively in a highly matrixed global organization with a fast-paced and entrepreneurial culture.
Qualifications:
• A 10+ year revenue development career track with progressive growth in responsibility focused on integrated sponsorship sales
• Strong track record in international cross-platform sponsorship selling; sports or lifestyle brand experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to think and communicate strategically
• Skilled in managing ambiguity, creative problem solving, and standardization of complexity through process and structure
• Exceptional ability in shaping competitive sponsorships, with proven deal negotiation and closing abilities
• Prior success working within a cross-functional global matrix organization
• Skilled at managing competing priorities and thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in sponsorship analysis, revenue forecasting, and budgeting is strongly preferred
• Team player with proven ability to lead and create consensus among stakeholders
• Passion for media/entertainment required
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent; Masters/MBA/JD preferred
