The Data Architect is the subject matter expert that will define and implement the Data Architecture for WWE, specifically on designing and implementing the data models, transformation, and storage of our consumer data. The Data Architect will be a member of the Data Engineering team responsible for managing WWE's data lake, enterprise data warehouse, data integration, and delivery platforms. The role requires a thought leader who will establish and maintain best practices and solutions across WWE's data management platform and partner with Data Analytics and other technology teams across WWE. Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain data model for WWE's Enterprise Data Warehouse using third normal form and dimensional modeling
• Perform analysis, data extractions, data manipulations
• Establish practices of metadata and lineage management
• Profile data to derive relationship in the form of a conceptual data model
• Extract data through SQL queries, analyzing the data by data mining, data modeling, and data presentation
• Work with business partners and Data Analysts to derive source to target data mappings
• Develop standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, storing, cleansing, transforming, searching, and delivering all consumer data within WWE (which includes methodologies, tools, governance, and conventions)
• Provide architecture guidance, best practices, and detailed design to Development team for data integration jobs
• Work with Data Analytics team to translate business requirements to implement realistic data models and source to target mappings for the same
• Understand how data relates to the current operations and the effects that any future changes will have on data throughout the organization
• Work with Solutions Architect and broader Data Engineering Development team to incorporate feedback into data models
• Create data flow and lineage diagrams adhering to standards for GDPR and other compliance related functions
• Work with Solutions Architect to build Center of Excellence (COE) for data information lifecycle management, governance, lineage, and quality
Qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture
• 8 years of experience in Conceptual/Logical/Physical data modeling
• Experience in modeling solutions in AWS – Redshift (Hive knowledge preferred)
• 10 years of proven expertise in Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling
• 10 years of experience with Erwin Data modeling tool
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, specifically AWS, as it relates to data processing (i.e., EC2, S3, Redshift, etc.)
• Able to define & maintain BI/Data Warehouse methodologies, standards, and industry best practices
• In depth knowledge in Big Data solutions and Hadoop ecosystem
• Understanding of PII standards, processes, and security protocols
• Familiar with Data Anonymization concepts and technologies preferred
• Experience leading and architecting enterprise wide initiatives, specifically system integration, data warehouse build, data mart build, data lakes, etc. for a large enterprise
• Able to confidently express the benefits and constraints of technology solutions to technology partners, stakeholders, team members, and senior levels of management
• Experience implementing and supporting operational data stores, data warehouses, and data marts and data integration platforms
• Willing and able to work flexible hours and be ''on-call'' as needed
• Relevant college degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) preferred
