Compensation Manager - Temp
The compensation manager is responsible for managing the compensation function. The compensation manager creates and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Essential Functions
Builds and shapes the compensation philosophy and assists in the creation of policies and procedures. Based on company and industry knowledge, builds a formalized short-term incentive and other reward and recognition programming. Monitors the effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends. Manages the administration of compensation, including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions. Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting compensation related data. Supervises the participation in, conducts and/or purchases exempt and nonexempt salary surveys. Using results from the salary surveys, as well as industry and company knowledge, builds out market pricing process and strategy. Creates formalized salary and job grading structures to assist overall job leveling and compensation approach. Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. In partnership with HR Generalists, administer and assist with design of performance management process. Work with internal Recruiters on salary ranges given the requirements and specifications for the positions
Job Requirements
• 5 years in HR Compensation & Analytics
• Demonstrated experience pulling and analyzing survey data from multiple systems
• Ability to translate raw data into appropriate guidance and business recommendations
• Comfortable with role ambiguity
• Bachelor's degree required
Skills
• Integrity and discretion in handling protected and confidential data.
• Self-starter with experience taking high level ideas from conception to execution
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive people to a common goal in a collaborative way
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full MS Suite, Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
• Experience / exposure to Workday preferred.
• Experience / exposure to compensation tools like salary.com, payscale etc. preferred
