Wscripted is a marketplace sourcing and curating excellent women and non-binary writers and literary works for decision-makers working in Film, TV and Publishing worldwide.
Wscripted most recently unveiled with Variety its Inaugural Cannes Screenplay List, a diverse selection of 25 vetted female-written screenplays available to option, featuring projects with international distribution potential and complex female characters on screen.
Wscripted aims to expand the talent pool of women and non-binary storytellers and is looking for an experienced Literary Agent to join its team to propel women writers' careers.
This is a unique opportunity for someone dedicated to supporting underrepresented voices seeking a high-impact position, with the freedom to execute.
Your responsabilities:
- Lead Wscripted's content curation strategy for all calls for entries & Cannes Annual List.
- Leverage your existing relationships with prominent production companies, talent agencies, and studios to recommend vetted talents and excellent projects.
- Support the development of a select number of female and non-binary writers.
- Participate in defining Wscripted's development strategy.
Requirements:
- Personal networks and warm relationships with top producers and development executives in the Entertainment industry in Los Angeles, New York and London, UK.
- Demonstrate relentless energy and passion for promoting content, cultivating and building new relationships with key production companies, talent agencies, studios and publishing houses.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with key stakeholders.
- 3-5 years as a Literary Agent with experience in Film & TV, and knowledge of the Publishing industry in the USA and UK.
