Overview
Assistant Controller will serve as a key member of the Finance team to run the day-to-day activities of the group. This is a role that will require detailed involvement in the reconciliation and financial closing process. The Assistant Controller will maintain the Accounting's general accounting practices, internal controls and financial analysis and reporting.
Duties and responsibilities
• Oversees basic Accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, billing, G/L, sales tax reporting, and vendor payments)
• Manages Financial Statement preparation and Month end and quarterly closing
• Monitors and reviews all record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
• Responsible for all basic accounting procedures; month end closing, journal entries, general ledger
maintenance, inventory roll forwards, fixed assets and account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Ensures monthly reconciliations for every company bank account are performed timely.
• Communicates with customers to address any past due invoices on their account and providing weekly status updates to
management.
• Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
• Over 5 years and up to and including 7 years of Accounting Work Experience Required
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting including application of general accounting theory.
• Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills,
• Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and organizational
administrative skills required.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work and interact with department and client organizations.
