Production Accountant
Supervisor: Director of Accounting Direct Report: N/A Location: 3rd Street Office FLSA: Exempt
Job Summary
Wondros is looking for a Production Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will work closely with the Director of Accounting on production accounting with a primary focus on one of our largest accounts. They will work daily with the Senior Producer to organize contractor invoices, staff time and project travel to track and advice that each milestone is staying within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Enter weekly payroll
• Invoices
o Process, file in binders
• Support in maintaining documents for the project producer:
o Update current costs & ensure that we are within budget
o Organize new hire information for projects
o Flag coding errors
• Monitor weekly staff hour submissions
• Produce staffing reports
• Enter purchase orders into travel reimbursement doc and collect documentation for reimbursement billing (monthly)
• Review amounts for travel reimbursement and organize a packet with corresponding receipts before billing submission
• Ensure costs are coded correctly
• Reconcile payroll entries biweekly
• Complete audit job summaries (due a month after jobs have closed)
o Update as late costs are moved in/out of jobs
• Reconcile shoot wrap binders against accounting reports
o Ensure costs are coded correctly and that all expenses have been accounted for
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-2 years experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Experience with CAPS and CAPS+ a plus
• Must be highly organized, detailed-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete work in a timely manner
• Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
