Job summary
This is a Senior TV/Film Development Executive position who has experience in both series development and production. You can oversee a project from early development stages through the entire production process. Must have the ability to identify talent and provide creative guidance and feedback to top level writers, directors and actors on outlines, scripts, and cuts. Using your comprehensive knowledge of top tier film and premium television talent, you will leverage your previous industry relationships and develop new ones to help package and develop Wondery's podcasts for sale in film and television. You will be joining a small, self-motivated, passionate and collaborative team environment. Must also be a podcast enthusiast. This position reports directly into the Head of TV/Film for Wondery.
Key job responsibilities
• Help advance Wondery's active TV development slate by recruiting new creative talent and packaging podcasts for sale with top writers, directors and talent
• Provide detailed development notes on each development stage of a project including outlines, scripts, dailies and cuts
• Work with writers to develop story and scripts to help transition each podcast to TV series
• Develop innovative story approaches and thematic arcs to help transition podcasts into TV/Film
• Oversee all creative aspects of development, production and post-production
• Serve as the project lead between Wondery and all our creative partners from showrunners, studio, network/streamer and any other key talent
• Serve as the primary project liaison between all other studio/network departments including development, casting, marketing, publicity, current and production
Qualifications
• 10 years experience as a producer/production manager or line producer
• 10 years experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports
• 8 years of 1 hour drama TV series development experience
• Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development and production
• Bachelor's Degree
