Seasonal Social Media Strategist (Part-Time)
Job Overview
The Seasonal Social Media Strategist will assist in managing the team's online presence by developing a strategy, producing content, analyzing usage data, and monitoring campaigns, as part of overall marketing plans. This role will work closely with the Social Media Coordinator and report to the Director of Content within the Marketing and Content Department.
Start Date: April 2023
End Date: End of 2023 Season (September/October)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Works closely with the content team to develop campaign assets and content strategies.
• Knowledgeable of industry trends and best practices in social media strategy.
• Be a key contributor to the integration of content and production for real-time use on game days.
• Create visual content for various social platforms while keeping current social trends and Sky's brand in mind.
• Assist in creating and updating best social practices to maximize fan engagement.
• Assist with the distribution of content on Sky social media platforms.
Criteria & Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience in social media and content creation
• 1-2 years sports experience preferred but not required
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to operate on MAC (required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and quality
• Ability to think conceptually to tell visual stories and push boundaries, as well as determine how to execute ideas
• A self-starter with high energy, a positive attitude, and committed to teamwork
• Prior knowledge of the Chicago Sky team and players a plus
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in digital media, visual communications, video production, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Must meet all COVID-19 protocols determined by the Chicago Sky and WNBA.
This is a part-time position based in the Chicago Sky front office. We are currently working on a hybrid schedule (in-office twice a week) but that could change in the future. The candidate will be expected to attend all Chicago Sky home games located at the Wintrust Arena. Some weekend hours may be required.
