Full-Time
A well-established Entertainment Public Relations & Marketing Firm seeks a full-time employee to work in our office. This position will provide a motivated person with hands on diversified communications experience in the motion picture and television industry as well as location-based entertainment, non-profits, and live events
OVERALL SUMMARY
Department Assistant supporting the Director of Awards.
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaise with clients to collect all show materials, including press kits, credits, production grids, crew lists, etc.
- • Compile, organize and break-down all show credits for awards entry prep.
• Fill out all awards entry forms
• Manage freelance team and interns
• Maintain database and working knowledge of all competition rules and requirements.
- • Keep department calendar up-to-date and department files organized.?• Work with various post-houses on ordering, delivery and encoding of entry materials.
- • Collect, read and distribute client news, including programming announcements and critical reviews.
- • Work events and award shows as needed - involves evening hours and some weekends
- • Assist PR department with projects on an ad-hoc basis
- • General administrative tasks, including phone back-up support for the office.
• Create all meeting agendas/recap notes and distribute as needed
.REQUIREMENTS
• At least one year of experience or relevant internships, preferably with a television or entertainment-related company.?
• Knowledge of, and passion for, television, with a specific interest in television awards. Film experience and interest also desired.?
• Strong writing skills
- • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Mac savvy. Google Docs.
- • Must be extremely detail oriented and highly organized
- • Must be able to take direction, have good judgment and be able to juggle many different tasks simultaneously.
- • Must take initiative, be able to problem-solve and follow-through on all tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Willing to work evenings for event coverage.
