Live Features Reporter - The Jam TV Show
A little bit about the show: The Jam TV Show is a two-hour-long live morning show broadcast that is powered by opinions, conversations, and attitude. The show breaks the fourth wall to wake up viewers with a peek behind the scenes, the use of bold colors and an irreverent spirit. It's ''hot talk'' with positive & entertaining content.
General Job Description:
The Jam TV Show is looking for a Live Features Reporter to join our team in Chicago! The ideal candidate is totally down for working morning show hours in a creative, exciting and fast-paced environment. The Live Features Reporter highlights new activities, events, and restaurants in the Chicago area.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Have a fun and engaging on-air presence
Be able to do early morning produced live shots
Ability to effectively and comfortably ad-lib is crucial
Write and produce taped pieces for air
Have the ability to gather and accurately share news and information to the show staff
Occasional fill-in hosting for our main hosts
Other duties, as assigned
Rockstar candidates will have the following:
A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of previous experience required.
The ability to expertly explain ideas and creative vision in a compelling way
On camera experience and appeal is an important part of the job
Previous online or broadcast production experience is a major plus
Familiarity with Chicago and the surrounding areas is required.
Knowledge of news, pop culture, movies, and music is important along with creativity and an insatiable curiosity
A passion for digital media
