Job Description:
Our content marketing sales specialist team is responsible for driving direct sell-through of Wayfarer's content to potential brand partners and sponsors. This role is responsible for ensuring that we are maximizing content/branded marketing revenue from our advertiser/agency/sponsorship partners. As the face of media changes, we are utilizing innovative tactics across media and creative to develop award-winning and impactful work.
Responsibilities:
- Sell Wayfarer's content, concepts, development, and production services to brand partners for sponsorship to drive revenue goals
- Develop strategic plans to exceed target revenue goals
- Oversee development of deck materials for sales presentations
- Build a tight working cadence with the Wayfarer creative team, partner sales and support teams to track Wayfarer client adoption and to
share updates and learnings
- Work side by side with the development, strategy and creative teams to help develop innovative and creative pitches based on achieving
both Wayfarer and the client's objectives and winning new work
- Meet with potential partners and clients to understand their strategic needs and to deliver Wayfarer solutions that meet their needs via
Wayfarer original content and commercials
- Deliver market feedback to the Wayfarer development and sales teams
- Be responsible for selling across Wayfarer's diverse portfolio
- Research and ideate potential partners for each client
- Utilize strong prospecting skills to source & negotiate new partnerships
- Communicate the unique value proposition of our clients to brands and agencies through meetings, presentations, and marketing materials
- Collaborate with creative teams on campaign ideas, development of pitch decks and partnership activations
- Report and track all sales activity and deal pipeline to ensure sales goals are consistently met and/or exceeded
- Work closely with execution teams to ensure programs are well transitioned and relationship is properly managed
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing
- Solid existing relationships on agency and client side
- A proven track record of closing deals that drive revenue
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior level decision-makers
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Keynote
- Willingness to travel
- Demonstrated partnerships with large clients and proven track record as a trusted advisor to clients and internal partner teams
- Experience as a sales 'specialist,' or proven track record of effectively influencing internal partner sales teams
- A proven collaborator and relationship-builder with experience leading executive-level engagements
- Passion for branding and content marketing; outspoken advocate for client brands
- Deep understanding of the digital media industry with the ability to credibly articulate strategic insights for clients that are based on data and
research
- Ability to think strategically, understand marketer needs, and creatively translate these needs into compelling concepts and programs
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; ample experience partnering with and presenting to clients of all levels
- An aggressive seller, exceptional communicator, and compelling presenter with strong negotiation skills
- Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and approach to everything they do: self-motivated, resourceful, innovative, forward-thinking,
accountable, and committed
- Knowledgeable when it comes to market trends, emerging media, consumer insights & digital/social content
