Job Title: VP, Branded Content Business Development (Full-time)
Position Summary:
Wayfarer Entertainment, the award-winning digital studio, is on the hunt for a branded content unicorn - someone who is equal parts creative and sales. This unicorn must be able to ideate, pitch and sell branded content without ever losing sight of the Wayfarer's core values. This unicorn must have a heart for creating disruptively inspirational content that incites empathy, elevates ''otherized'' voices and fosters community. This exceptional professional will be responsible for driving revenue and evangelizing the Wayfarer way. If this describes you, you may just be the right person to become Wayfarer's Vice President of Branded Content Business Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior team to execute the Company's branded content sales strategy
Manage incoming RFPs and new business opportunities in the branded content arena
Ideate, and assist in the ideation of, original, compelling and impactful branded content campaigns that address the clients' respective brand needs and align with the Company's values. Said branded content ideas will run the gamut from scripted and unscripted filmed content, to podcasts, digital articles, radio, experiential and beyond
Craft creative and thoughtful content strategies that address the prospective clients' objectives
Represent Company at client meetings and effectively communicate and pitch the Company's content ideas and strategies to clients
Develop, write and produce sales materials, including presentation tapes, decks, and production plans and proposals, as well as manage team members and vendors to execute the same
Leverage existing relationships with brands and agencies to build a robust and sustainable slate of business
Work with in-house production staff to create top-level bids during the pitch stage to ensure programs can fit within RFP budget parameters while maintaining profitability for Company
Work with in-house production staff to provide oversight and direction for budgets, schedules and milestones for productions
Ensure an effective handoff to production team once a project is sold, while remaining in constant communication to help problem-solve, keep program strategically on point, and maintain solid relationship with client
Manage client relationships and drive the follow up for future branded content opportunities
Ensure that market intelligence is received, analyzed, and utilized in recommending and initiating sales, content creation and distribution approaches, which capitalize on market opportunities and trends
Work closely with brands and/or agencies on each project to facilitate workflow communication amongst key stakeholders
Act as liaison and maintain strong relationships with brands, agencies and distribution channels
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the branded content industry
A minimum of five years experience developing and selling branded content solutions
Proven and extensive relationships with brands, agencies and distribution channels
Proven track record of delivering revenue growth via branded content
Strategic and creative thinker capable of crafting emotional and powerful stories
Experience in campaign development and working with brands and agencies
Excellent presentation abilities and client management skills
Proactive thinker/self-starter who is organized, energetic, detail-oriented and eager to work on a small team
Professionalism, sound judgment and well-developed interpersonal skills
Discretion and attention to detail is of utmost importance
Ability to troubleshoot and switch gears in real time
Must be collaborative and able to work on a team or function autonomously
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently for long and short term projects
Ability to accept feedback with professionalism and make proper adjustments to work accordingly
Well-developed computer skills: PowerPoint, MS Office, MS Excel, word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail
Graphics proficiency a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign)
Availability for travel
Fluency in English, both written and verbal required
Must be punctual with dependable transportation
Legal right to work in the U.S.
