Position Overview: The Washington Wizards are seeking a highly motivated and organized coordinator to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you will collaborate across departments to support the activation of team initiatives, advertising, as well as event and grassroots projects aimed at reaching and connecting with new and existing fans.
Responsibilities:
• Build schedule and rotation management of trade and trafficking of all TV, radio, and digital spots.
• Serve as a point-of-contact for broadcast partners for in-game TV and radio drops and develop rotation, copy, and fulfill graphic needs.
• Develop content and distribute marketing materials internally and externally.
• Support the coordination of grassroots events with marketing manager.
• Manage inventory of event give-aways, signage, collateral, and fulfillment of all contest prizing.
• Responsible for tracking all invoices and expenses against designated budget.
• Support Marketing team with development of presentations, special projects, and coordination of group meetings.
• Participate in the development of brand strategy, activation, and advertising efforts.
• Develop detailed recaps for org-wide initiatives aimed at providing a snapshot of the team's efforts, impact, and key insights from activations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Two plus years of full-time relevant experience preferred.
• Proven experience in brand marketing, communications, or related areas with a focus on marketing.
• Highly skilled in project management, specifically working on large project implementations that require teamwork to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Working familiarity with data capture, digital, creative development, advertising, and events.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work within a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience with handling a budget for large and small work projects.
