Summary:
The Assistant, Major League Video & Technology will contribute to Washington Nationals Advance Scouting as a highly valued employee. We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to our team by specializing in work related to day-to-day assembly and operation of video and technology. This position is a full-time role.
The Assistant, Major League Video & Technology assists the Coaching Staff, players and Front Office with day-to-day video and technology assignments, along with short and long term evolving projects. It is expected that the employee will be able to demonstrate an interest and understanding of operation for both specified video and technology relating to day-to-day operations of our Major League Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in recurring tasks such as video distribution to coaches, players and Front Office, upholding relationships with third-party vendors, as well as maintaining certain administrative tasks
• Create and disseminate video playlists using BATS Software
• Log/Chart games daily
• Assist with Technology setup including, but not limited to Rapsodo, Trackman, 4D Motion and iPads
• Assist Advance Scouting in generating specific reports on a day-to-day basis
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
• College or professional baseball/softball playing experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
• Highly motivated and excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated passion for baseball and baseball operations
• Strong, confident communication skills including the ability to write clearly and effectively
• Ability to use time efficiently
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint

Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
• Some travel may be required.
