Position Overview: The part-time In Game Host is responsible for serving as a game hosts and on-camera personality for the Washington Capitals at all preseason, regular season, and playoff home games.

Responsibilities:
• Execute all on-ice and in-crowd promotions, both sponsored and un-sponsored, as set forth in the game-by-game script and rundown.
• Public act as a voice of the Washington Capitals at various events including interviews with players, coaches, or Hockey operations staff.
• Positively interact with community at all events, building positive relationships.
• Abide by all NHL rules, procedures, and rules of Capitals staff and sponsors.
• Carry oneseful in a professional manner while in public and while working with internal staff or guests including all social media platforms.
• Attend all meetings and rehearsals related to game presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years of announcing/hosting experience; additional game entertainment experience is helpful.
• A strong on-camera presence, highlighting poise, professionalism, approachability, and the confidence to effectively work under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of the Washington Capitals brand and knowledge of NHL Hockey rules and regulations is preferred.
• Ability to take feedback and implement into performance.
• Able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
• Creative and innovative personality with ability to quickly adapt to new situations in a dynamic fast pace environment.
• Self-starter, dedicated, highly-motivated and is an excellent team member.
• Can build positive energy using both voice and body language.
• Flexibility to work all Capitals home games including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
