ABOUT THE TEAM
In 2002, the Worldwide Recruitment and Executive Search team was launched with the aim of assembling leadership teams with the highest calibre of top-tier, diverse talent essential to achieving ongoing business success and future growth. Partnering with senior management and Human Resource teams across the company, the global function is responsible for identifying and fulfilling WarnerMedia's current and future human capital needs from Director to C Level. In addition to achieving significant cost efficiencies, the team serves as a catalyst for generating strategic benefits to the business, including increased internal mobility and workforce diversity.
The International Executive Search team was launched in April 2004 to support the WarnerMedia business units across EMEA, Asia Pacific and LATAM. Over 850 senior level search assignments/projects across 32 countries have been successfully executed since the launch of the team, generating cost avoidance of over $60million for the business units. Internal mobility is paramount, and the team identifies talent within the WarnerMedia divisions in addition to sourcing externally.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As a Senior Manager on the Executive Search team, you will be responsible for executing senior level searches for WarnerMedia business units with a key focus on APAC territories and be a knowledge base of top-tier diverse internal and external talent within the APAC region.
Partnering with the Executive Search Directors, you will support and drive the creation and development of strategies from concept to completion positioning the Executive Search team to be able to identify top diverse talent prior to positions being opened. Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders, and WarnerMedia & US Divisional Recruitment/HR Teams will be crucial to ensuring best in class, effective recruitment support is consistently provided.
You will be reporting into the Executive Director, Executive Search, International and will work closely with the research team, and team administrator on all search projects in addition to proactive Marketing Intelligence/Research projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Responsible for proactive relationship building and partnering with Business Unit's Recruiter/HR Teams and Line Executives in order to be first point of contact for relevant search assignments.
• Responsible for the execution of senior level searches (Director level and above) including building an appropriate search strategy (Road Map) in line with client needs and Global Executive Search International (GESI) delivery standards
• Search efforts will be conducted through direct sourcing, robust industry networking, internet and desk research, Social Media, candidate database, employee referrals and strategic sourcing partner
• Manages processes to ensure superior client satisfaction and consistency of GESI delivery
• Partners with and supports WarnerMedia Business Units' Recruitment/HR Teams to provide recruitment for current positions, future needs, tough-to-fill and high turn areas. Also develops pro-active recruitment strategies for future business needs and succession planning
• Partners with WarnerMedia Business Units to support best practices and to support key initiatives, including internal mobility and diversity
• Maintains positions and data in Executive Search International Data Base (Encore) on a regular and consistent basis, in accordance with WarnerMedia Legal requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Experience of executing senior level search assignments within APAC territories essential with specific knowledge of hiring in Japan a benefit
• Experience of all aspects of the senior search/recruitment process, to include winning the assignment, robust research, industry/role mapping, sourcing, client updates, shortlisting and closing the offer
• Knowledge of, and experience within, Media and Entertainment sector highly desirable, with experience in the DTC/Streaming arena of benefit.
• Knowledge of APAC specific guidelines on employee selection and employee relations issues relative to the recruitment process highly desirable
• Must be able to professionally partner and build relationships with members of senior management and direct team
• Must have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, be solutions orientated and resilient
• Must have practical experience in a corporate environment, ideally in a matrix organization
• Must have organizational savvy necessary to understand future business needs
• Must have strong business acumen
• Must be able to analyse job descriptions, CV's and determine required qualification for vacancies and appropriate matches for roles
• Must have proven ability to source and select appropriate candidates based upon position requirements
• Must have proven ability to handle high volume recruiting with focus on senior level positions and have a strong work ethic
• Fluent written and spoken English essential, with an additional Asian language(s) an advantage – Japanese language would be highly desirable
• Experience within an Executive search firm or robust/sophisticated internal search business experience an advantage
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
