THE JOB
WarnerMedia seeks a Senior Editor for the Effects-Creative Serv-TStudios department.
Turner Sports is one of our biggest partners and they've added a new property to their portfolio, and it's a big one – The NHL. WM Studios is growing right along with Turner Sports as we prepare to support this essential new partnership. We're seeking a Senior Editor who not only knows the craft, we need a heavy hitter who knows the sport – who lives and breathes hockey exhibits the versatility to help out wherever the team needs it. This role will demand an artist who understands the storylines, the characters, and the action that is unique to the NHL – it is truly a sport like no other.
THE DAILY
• Create and edit content for a range of NHL initiatives including high profile opens, elements, promos, or long-form content
• Collaborate closely with fellow NHL-focused craftspeople in Edit, Sound Design, and DesignVFX
• Work effectively in a fully remote (for now) environment collaborating closely with one or more NHL-focused producers
• Work autonomously when needed – this is part of why knowing the sport is a must
• Execute intricate deliverables, and fast
• Belong to and contribute to a team of NHL-focused colleagues, as well as other properties such as the NBA, MLB, and Bleacher Report, to name a few.
THE ESSENTIALS
• Keen understanding and knowledge of NHL history, fans, players, coaches, and gameplay
• 5 years working in a high paced sports-focused environment, operating at a highly autonomous and senior level
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills with an impressive reel/website to show for it
• Notable experience in a fast-paced post-production environment
• Experience editing/delivering for social media and digital platforms
• Flexible and adaptive to meet changing needs or direction
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines
• Emphasis on organization with file management
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and time management skills
• Flexibility to put in the work during off hours at times – these stories don't always unfold during regular business hours – flexibility is key.
