Research Analyst - CNN
The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Research Analyst for the CNN Sales Research department. We are looking for a curious and energetic individual with strong critical thinking skills to join our team at CNN. The analyst will be part of the research team supporting Ad Sales and Marketing teams across Digital platforms. This role offers a great opportunity to learn about the business and gain hands-on experience in media research. This position will report to the Manager, CNN Ad Sales Research.
The Daily
• Develops top line and detailed analyses, reporting, and highlights to support the CNN Digital advertising sales and marketing teams
• Builds, improves, and maintains user friendly reports and dashboards with key performance highlights that can be shared both internally and externally
• Responsibilities comprise responding to requests from sales (RFP/RFI), weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, and sponsorship reporting
• Manages large amounts of data from internal and external sources
• Plays an active role in qualitative and quantitative primary research projects including helping gather key assets, analyzing the data and creating presentations
The Essentials
• B.A. / B.S. in Market Research, Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Experience analyzing large data sets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of digital ecosystem and media business
• Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau and SQL is a plus
• Prior experience in analytics role at a publisher, media agency or research vendor is a plus
• Prior experience using comScore, GFK MRI, Ipsos Affluent Study, YouGov, social analytic tools (Shareablee, Facebook Insights, ListenFirst or Nielsen Social), and market research tools (such as Mintel, eMarketer) is a plus
• Experience using Adobe Analytics, Adobe reportbuilder/workspace, and Google Analytics, is a plus
