Full Time Job
The CW Network, LLC seeks a Manager, Broadcast Standards for the Broadcast Standards & Practice department.
The Daily
• Manages the Primetime scripted and alternative programming approval process.
• Review scripts and all revisions, dailies, rough cuts and finals for regulatory (FCC), content concerns (e.g. - sexual/suggestive material, language, violence, taste, etc.) and product integration.
• Issue notes to Producers and negotiate policy compliance at all the stages of production as noted above.
• Attend show table reads, run-thrus, tapings and location shoots as necessary.
• Maintain various Broadcast Standards databases (e.g. – program content ratings, schedules, etc.).
While Primetime programming duties are paramount, the position may participate in the coverage of OMM (One Magnificent Morning) Saturday programming and Commercial Clearance as necessary.
• Review live action rough cuts for regulatory and content issues.
• Issue notes to Producers and negotiate policy compliance.
• Review commercial scripts, storyboards, rough cuts and finished spots for regulatory and content concerns.
• Ensure correct commercial scheduling with Litton (OMM supplier), CBS sales staffs, as well as Network Traffic and Video Operations personnel.
The Essentials
• B.A./B.S. degree preferred.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills
• Must have good PC skills
• Approximately 5 years experience in related field. Experience with alternative/reality programming recommended.
• General office activities: walking, standing, sitting, speaking, lifting, bending, etc.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, affiliates, clients, and other levels of personnel
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, if and when necessary
• General office environment.
• Computer, printer, photocopy machine, fax machine, telephone, etc.
