The Job:
Getting our content in front of our fans takes an incredible amount of technology and delivering the best experience to consumers and partners comes down to the Technology & Operations unit. This group oversees data storage and content supply chain, as well as studio. broadcast engineering, while also supporting the everyday underpinnings of our company.
Your job will be to provide direction, management, organisation and reporting of project workstreams related to the implementation of IT Infrastructure Projects Globally.
This position requires someone with technical project management experience, who is confident at communicating effectively at senior management level and to a wide, diverse team, is flexible, pro-active, and efficient, organised and can work using their own initiative. Additionally, the ability to juggle multiple tasks from multiple individuals and to be one step ahead is essential. International business travel is a requirement.
What will you be doing?:
• Document and develop the project plan tracking costs, scope, schedule, and quality for IT Infrastructure project activities.
• Collaboration with technical leads, project managers, senior management and stakeholders, ensuring that all project activities are effectively recorded and tracked.
• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
• Track activities against all milestones and deliverables in relation to the IT infrastructure works, ensuring effective personal leadership and delivery focus for all projects.
• Chair site meetings / conference calls and distribute minutes to all project team members.
• Organise and direct cross-functional teams in developing and implementing the agreed project deliverables; also provides task direction to project members.
• Work with support organizations and partner personnel to ensure their involvement in tasks required to deliver the project (e.g.
Requirements
Gathering, Technical Support, Organizational Readiness, Help Desk activities, UAT, etc.)
• Manages escalations to executive levels as required, maintains the project business case, prepares and presents readiness assessments.
What will you be delivering?
• End-to-end consolidated project plan across the IT Infrastructure work streams (Network, Compute/Storage, End-user Computing, Telephony, Facility, Support).
• Individual small project plans, where directly responsible.
• Consolidated Project cost estimates.
• Consolidated Risk, Issues, and Action Items logs.
To be a contributing member of this team, you will have a mix of these skills:
• Experience in delivering IT Infrastructure Projects within technical environments.
• Work experience in the Entertainment & Media industry is desirable.
• Experience of working within an international team across multiple time zones and a multinational company.
• Experience of working within complex projects collating multiple sources of information.
• Have working knowledge of recognised Project Management process groups such as Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing. Software such as Microsoft Project is ideal.
• Understanding of outsourced service provider resources, managing remote teams to successfully deliver projects.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, partners, and other departments.
• Professional working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and personnel to manage team tasks and related business issues.
• Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with IT Infrastructure Services management to ensure resources are available to the project.
• Proactively anticipates project related problems and can recommend sound solutions and contingency plans.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure - Networking, Compute/Storage, End-user Computing, Telephony, Facility, Support, and the ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured, fast-changing landscape is essential.
• Some travel will be required to oversee implementation phases and ensure quality of work.
• ITIL foundation certification essential, ITIL Managers Certificate preferred.
• Project Management Certification preferred (PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
