PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Media Planning & Presentation Executive will report directly to the Scheduling Strategy Manager. He/She will be part of a team of scheduling executives working and managing the daily transmission playlists, media planning, and rating analysis across Warner Media Cartoon Network and Boomerang South East Asia Pacific channels. Passion for the content is highly desirable because as motivated as you will be working, enjoying yourself in the process helps. You must be a team player and yet confident enough to manage on your own with little supervision.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Channel Presentation (30%)
• Use systems efficiently in delivering the best possible final schedule to playout on a daily basis, ensuring all items are correctly inserted and RFTX. This will involve building of skeleton schedules and manual placement of all presentation and promotional items in LRS against campaigns entered in ATS to achieve the best possible on-air look for the channel, capable of driving audiences.
Scheduling Accuracy (30%)
• As the last line of 'defense', we have to ensure that the final playlist is accurate and all objectives – including commercials - have been met before sending to transmission. Proactively working with Scheduling, Promo Strategy, Commercial Operations, and Programming teams in ensuring that all communications and media campaigns objectives are aligned. Cross-check against promo media plan for proper scheduling.
Media Planning (20%)
• Complete monthly media plans for assigned channel, and ensure inventory is managed carefully against objectives. A pro-active, collaborative approach with the wider team is needed, specifically with the Media Planning and Analysis team in developing strategies to drive audience engagement.
Channel Monitoring (10%)
• View all on-air material prior to scheduling and regularly monitor final output to determine if strategy is working fine. Safeguard against clashes of relevant promotional messages or any on-air errors. Monitor competitors' channels to keep up-to-date on the media landscape and changes.
Reporting and Analysis (5%)
• Monitor channel ratings through Looker and work on scheduling strategies, reporting back to team on promotional rating performance. Esure visibility on the impact of the final playlist to determine if overall objectives have been met and strategies are working. Generate other additional reports (commercials/ sponsorship) as required.
Commercial Ops and Team Support (5%)
• Work hand-in-hand with Commercial Operations team to ensure smooth flow of ads into playlists. Checks to ensure correct break timings, daily minutage, and time-band restrictions are adhered to. Due to revenue impact, have to ensure that scheduling supports commercial requirements as needed. The role will also provide support to meet promotional, marketing, and digital objectives.
Any other duties as assigned by senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential
• Min. 2 years of experience in the Broadcast / media industry
• Broadcast systems experience (ideally Vision)
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
Desirable
• Past experience in a role doing Media Planning
• Working expertise of TV Ratings analysis
• Interest in working on Kids' Content
