Location: United Kingdom - London
Turner is seeking a Delivery Lead, to manage the implementation of several wide-ranging, business and operationally focused projects in a fast-paced, lively and highly agile working environment.
This position will support many different project types across the business, although primarly focused on operational change improvements and implementation.
Responsible for managing the day-to-day duties of all assigned projects, including scope, resources, budgets, benefits realisation, risks, issues, change requests, quality management and timelines. You will work with various project stakeholders and resources including designers, developers, testers and report to the management team on a regular cadence. Most importantly, this role will be the driving force in directing each project step-by-step through key milestones from early planning to project closure.
The Daily
• Will project manage all areas of the project including business change, requirements analysis, vendor management and coordinate cross-functional resources.
• Manages cross-functional project teams, identifies resources needed, assigns and prioritises tasks/responsibilities and ensures deadlines are met.
• Understands objectives, processes and products in order to make educated recommendations. Minimises exposure to risk on projects.
• Identify project benefits, aligning them to strategic business goals and then the delivery of them through a benefits realisation plan.
• Identify and implement opportunities to use artificial intelligence (AI) with RPA to automate process wherever possible, working with internal stakeholders in doing so (change management) and with our vendors to contribute to design automated processes.
• Supports testing (often working with third party, offshore test teams), implementation and training activities. Performs regular quality review checks and benefits health checks on project deliverables.
• Gathers assets and necessary requirements for all projects.
• Reports and manages timely and regular communication of project statuses to executive level management (including project boards and steering committees) and project teams.
• Interfaces between multiple internal departments and vendors to manage and maintain the quality of technology applications seeking to identify efficiencies and improvements where possible.
• Drives day-to-day prioritisation of work, scope, troubleshoots reported project issues and identifies then create new processes to improve/maintain quality control.
• Supports the Director and Programme Leads with the development of financial and planning estimates and validation of vendors' estimates.
• Liaise and work closely with the Finance Business Partner on project budget, forecasting and expenditure.
• Contributes to the creation of and manages Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Requests for Proposals with vendors during project lifecycles.
• Adept at adopting the appropriate project management lifecycle delivery methodology, i.e. Agile, Waterfall or a combination of both.
• Supports the Director and Programme Leads with the preparation of PMO reports including the EMEA Portfolio Prioritisation and global PMO level reporting using Clarizen PPM.
Skills
& Experience
• Proven track record and relevant experience as a project leader and/or delivery manager and/or launch manager in the media and/or digital and/or entertainment space.
• Experience with traditional Waterfall and Agile delivery methodology and development methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). Knowledge of how to apply both in coexistence, i.e. WAGILE, also would be an advantage.
• Experience dealing with external development vendors and third-party service providers.
• Strong product, analytical and technology skills, complemented by a good understanding of content supply chain workflows.
• Strong team player and ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders (including external vendors) to resolve issues, constraints and cross-project interdependencies.
• Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and to adapt plans as required throughout delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to operate successfully in a cross-cultural
• Educated to BSc/BA degree level or be able to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities the position requires from previous experience, or have a minimum and proven 5 years industry experience with technical subjects and/or emerging technologies, and/or product and/or project management.
• Preferable: professional qualification in project, change and/or product management.
