Food Network is seeking an experienced leader for its Brand Creative team. If you are looking to join a collaborative, strategic and fun team producing best-in-class creative, then this could be the position for you.
The Creative Director is responsible for ensuring that Food Network’s promotional priorities draw viewers in with smart copy, compelling visuals and an original hook across all of our multi-platform campaigns. The role requires a creative vision to engage audiences and ensure consistency of messaging and image in all brand expressions. This position works in lock-step with our Production Director, Design Director and strategy team to keep all promotions on message, on brand and on time. While the right brain is finding ways to innovate, the left brain is managing the team and timelines. The ideal candidate will also serve as an ambassador for the team in developing relationships with internal stakeholders as well as outside production partners. Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead the creative communication strategy for on-air network branding, identity, multi-platform and program promotion
• Work closely with the various departments across the organization such as programming and strategy to ensure consistent messaging and creative execution across a campaign
• Provide strategic vision for the creation of elements to communicate a strong on-air / off-air sense of the network as branded destination
• Inspire, motivate and lead a team of creatives to achieve continual performance growth and collaboration.
• Serve as brand ambassador with institutional knowledge of aesthetic, visual identity, personality and voice of the networks.
• Serve as the creative liaison and interface with other departments to best define and implement ongoing priorities
• Manage freelance producers on a creative level as well as outside vendors
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years experience in on-air promotions and/or marketing, preferably in a leadership role
• Demonstrated creative excellence developing promos, sizzle and digital assets
• Ability and experience with communicating creative strategy clearly to a team and providing constructive feedback
• Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, a must.
• Knowledge of media production, post-production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills with an ability to quickly adapt to multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Creative collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and lead a team as well as develop relationships cross-functionally
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and clearly focus the workload of the team
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing or equivalent
• Must have the legal right to work
• Travel: 15%
