The Job
Warner Bros. Games is looking for a Community Manager to join our Content Marketing team. Ideal candidates are passionate about modern communication styles and mediums, connecting the community through online engagement programs, and the ability to identify emerging community platforms. They should have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of popular community platforms and moderation techniques, and the ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities working with multiple teams and studios. An avid gamer a plus.
The Daily
• Monitor and moderate Discord channels for console titles and external community sites for our games such as Steam, reddit, etc.
• Work with cross functional teams to ensure game updates (patches), brand, editorial, news, eSports news, and announcements are posted on time plus monitoring and reporting on feedback to stakeholders
• Act as the community voice for Warner Bros. Games when posting patch notes or updates for our titles
• Identify new potential community moderators and community ambassadors in verified channels
• Create and manage a multi-tiered Ambassador program and Discord incentive programs to raise engagement and foster our verified Discord community
• Assist in training studios on moderation process, volunteer moderator, and Ambassador programs, engagement incentive programs, and escalation process for future titles
• Define best practices for studio streams – both owned and at events creating a ''how-to'' guide for setup
• Identify and report on community sentiment using in-house tracking tools – working closely with platform representatives to ensure community channels are in top notch condition
• Create and execute community centric programs that tie into greater social and brand marketing beats
• Support multiple premium console and free-to-play titles.
The Essentials
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in gaming community management or forum management (AAA title management preferred)
• Knowledge of brand communications, social, and gaming community ecosystems
• Analytical skills tracking community metrics including sentiment
• Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills across multiple departments
• Self-motivation and initiative; impeccable time management, organization, and prioritization
• Experience with cross functional team coordination
