Assistant Marketing Manager, NBA

Turner Sports/Bleacher Report is the team that delivers sports broadcasts to the WarnerMedia networks like TBS, TNT, and truTV. We are also responsible for operating sites like NCAA.com, NBA.com, and ELEAGUE.com.
The Job
Turner Sports is seeking an execution focused marketer to join our team as Assistant Marketing Manager, NBA. The Assistant Marketing Manager, NBA will be responsible for leading all marketing execution efforts that drive consumption of NBA-related content produced by NBA on TNT, NBA TV, Turner Sports Podcasts and other areas as the landscape changes. This candidate should have a background in marketing with experience supporting strategy teams, managing multiple projects and collaborating across disciplines. Reports to the Director, Marketing.
The Daily
• Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
• Support the creative ideation and lead request process for all priority content, working directly with our internal Creative Services Sports Unit to drive the vision and ensure all marketing assets are on brand and strategy
• Manage the trafficking and tracking process for all marketing assets to internal teams and external partners
• Hire, manage and train semester interns
• Support Marketing team in building presentations and postmortems for all NBA tentpoles and priority initiatives
• Set priorities and manage the scheduling and creation of on-air graphics, as well as writing copy for on-air reads and media buys
• Work cross-functionally with the following teams: Creative Services Sports Unit, Talent, Social, Insights & Research, Bleacher Report, NBA Digital, The Media Group, Marketing Operations.
• Work in partnership with the NBA Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
The Essentials
• 2-3 years of marketing and/or sports experience with a focus on strategy support and project management
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications or related field
• A strong work ethic, with a great attitude and the ability to be a self-starter
• Passion for sports with a strong understanding of the NBA
• Detail oriented and organized, with an eye for good creative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
• Experience working within a team and ability to contribute and fulfill collaborative projects
• Experience with marketing automation and project management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
