The Job
This year, Turner Sports and National Hockey League announced a seven-year multimedia rights agreement beginning with the 2021-22 season. Fans will be able to enjoy the Stanley Cup Final and Stanley Cup Playoffs on TNT and TBS for the first time, along with 72 regular season games and the NHL Winter Classic each season. With this new partnership, Turner Sports and Bleacher Report will continue to provide premium content across multiple screens for fans to enjoy.
B/R is hiring an NHL Analytics Manager on the Performance Analytics and Consumer Insights team, reporting to the Senior Manager. The Manager will primarily be responsible for leading all reporting on content associated with the NHL, with the potential coverage of other league properties. Successful candidates will possess the ability to turn data into insightful learnings and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Skills such as data analysis and creative thinking will be essential to this role.
The Daily
• Leverage insights to develop a successful social and app programming strategy around the NHL
• Develop reporting around key data points to measure content performance and help inform a data-driven growth strategy
• Provide and develop key insights to help improve content creation and social and app programming
• Support and collaborate with various departments to improve efficiencies around reporting / analytics needs
• Analyze and interpret data points from multiple analytics platforms to key stakeholders as a means of advocating for data-driven thinking across the organization
• Interpret data to assist with positioning our NHL coverage in the marketplace
The Essentials
• 5 years of experience working in digital or social media analytics is preferred
• 1 years managing teams preferred
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Persuasive communication style with a basis in analytics
• Must demonstrate expertise in social media analytics and identifying upcoming trends in the space
• Familiarity with third party social analytics tools (Sprinklr, Conviva, etc) is a plus
