Job Title: Video Administration Manager
A little bit about our team:
The video department handles all aspects of music video and content production for the entire Elektra Records Group roster of artists. We are a fast paced and resourceful creative team in charge of managing artistic visions for multiple projects and artists.
Why this could be your next big break:
The Video Administration Department is essential in facilitating contracts, agreements, and working in tandem with Business & Legal Affairs and Finance to ensure all projects are completed. Elektra boasts some of today's biggest and cutting-edge artists and without this role, no videos could make it out into the world for all our artists' fans to enjoy!
Here you'll get to:
• Draft agreements for music video productions & content for Elektra Records and on behalf of affiliated labels.
• Review all production company budgets (i.e. AICP format) and route internal budgets for approval from executive staff prior to contracting.
• Liaise with the Business & Legal Affairs to identify and troubleshoot clearance issues in video treatments and the resulting final video product. Gather approval from Business & Legal Affairs to ensure that all rights are in place before videos are contracted and that the videos will be approved for servicing and commercial exploitation.
• Confirm, when necessary, that guest artist/side artists appearances are cleared.
• Confirm with Strategic Marketing & Brand Partnerships department that product placement terms are confirmed, approved, and adhered to. Coordinate billing for placement with Marketing Operations.
• Negotiate terms of standard form agreements in association with Business & Legal Affairs when necessary.
• Administer all payments for music videos pertaining to the production, including, but not limited to: contractual production company payments, artist costs, closed captioning and insurance.
• Coordinate with Producer and/or Production Manager for each music video to make sure that the production company has completed the insurance questionnaire, provided proof of workman's compensation, ordered an audio package, if necessary, and understand Elektra's delivery requirements and any other guidelines regarding clearances and releases that may be required by Business & Legal Affairs.
• Declare the production insurance package for every video and ensure that all special coverage is in place as necessary.
• Follow through on all insurance claims. Review all pertinent paperwork and ensure that the insurance reps and insurance adjuster's questions are addressed.
• Audit and file wrap books (actualized budgets, backup, releases) upon delivery to issue final payment on contracts.
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• Quickly learn Elektra's internal video recording authorization process (VRA).
• Work well under pressure while maintaining good working relationships
• Multitask and prioritize many jobs at once
• Understand and gel with various and different personalities
• Develop strong relationships with Producers, Directors, Reps, Managers and Artists via email and phone
It would be music to our ears if you also had:

• Paralegal experience
• SAG/AFTRA Music Video Agreement knowledge
• SAP/ARIBA experience
