Job Description:
A little bit about our team:
The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Finance team, supporting the larger organization of Arts Music. Arts Music is a new wholly-owned division of Warner Music Group (''WMG'') focused on signing, developing, and marketing artists and releases across a spectrum of genres, including classical, musical theatre, jazz, kids & family, film scores and more. The Arts Music portfolio of labels includes Ghostlight Records and First Night Records for musical theatre and Sesame Street Records and Build-A-Bear Records for kids & family music.
Why this could be your next big break:
This position will have a critical role in the financial management of the business, while also gaining invaluable exposure to various departments within a music company by liaising with the creative, royalties, legal, operations, and shared services teams. This position will assist in providing timely and accurate reporting analysis for stakeholders as well as to our signed and distributed artist and project partners, while under the supervision of the Finance Director.
Here you'll get to:
• Assist in the overall accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are fully and accurately reconciled on a timely basis
• Assist in the annual budget and monthly forecasts with full support required for the P&L
• Provide recommendations with financial analysis to assist in business decision-making
• Coordinate with the Royalties and Participations teams, as well as key external stakeholders, for proper financial and statement reporting for artists
• Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly deliverables for executives
• Assist in tracking A&R and Marketing costs
• Knowledgeable about international accounting practices
• Special assignments as required
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
The rockstar candidate will be a highly organized, motivated self-starter, who is comfortable with managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have:
• 3-5 years of experience
• CPA preferred, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with SAP, HFM, and Concur
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
• French language skills are a plus
• Record company/entertainment company experience
