As the independent label arm of Warner Music Group, the Finance Manager will be a key team member helping ADA achieve their mission through collaborative efforts with the legal, marketing, promotion, label management, corporate and shared services teams.

The Finance Manager will be a key player within the ADA Finance organization while also gaining invaluable exposure to various departments within a music company. As a division with fewer than 100 employees, everyone at ADA is given the opportunity to get involved in special projects in a way not often found at large organizations. The manager will have an ability to make a meaningful impact on ADA and develop a strong working relationship with people and departments across the entire Warner Music Group organization.
Here you'll get to:
Monthly Close:
• Generate, analyze, and improve upon financial reports for the monthly reporting package
• Prepare ad hoc reports and ongoing analyses to understand key drivers and variances across the business
• Interpret financial results and communicate observations in a clear and concise way
• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting schedules
• Assist in preparation of quarterly deliverables for CFO and Corporate Finance
• Manage sales and deduction supporting schedules for label statements
Other Operational:
• Act as liaison between various departments for cross-functional projects and tasks
• Responsible for various general ledger account and distribution statement reconciliations
• Communicate with distributed labels regarding statement-related questions
• Responsible for maintaining financial information related to Legal Dept. schedules
• Participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the department
• Special assignments and ad hoc projects as required
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
The rockstar candidate will be a highly organized, motivated self-starter, who is comfortable with managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have:
• The ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
• An inquisitive mind and a desire for constant process-improvement
• A strong desire to learn and develop and act as a self-starter
• Experience with SAP and HFM
It would be music to our ears if:
The ideal candidate will be a music enthusiast and true team player. Our group thrives on improving inefficiencies and is seeking a strong finance/accounting background coupled with the desire to learn, contribute, and grow within ADA. In addition:
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred
• 3-6 years of finance and accounting related experience
• Knowledge of music/media industry strong plus
