Job Description:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Publishing Licensing & Royalties Team at Warner Music Group.
Job Title: Publishing Internship- Summer 2020
A little bit about our team:
The U.S. Publishing Department is based in WMG's Center of Excellence for Shared Services in Nashville, Tennessee (the ''Center''). The Center is currently home to team members affiliated with four different business service organizations: The U.S. Legal Shared Services organization (or ''LSS''), the U.S. Finance Shared Services organization (or ''FSS''), the Global Data Organization, and WEA Corp. (WMG's distribution company). LSS consists of three departments: Audit, Legal, and Publishing. Employees of the Center provide services to all of WMG's U.S. record labels, Warner Chappell Music Publishing, WEA Corp. and Alternative Distribution Alliance (WMG's distribution companies), and WMG's other U.S. business units.
The U.S. Shared Services Publishing Department is comprised of the Licensing & Royalties teams. The Publishing Department provides publishing and other licensing and related administrative services to each of WMG's U.S. record labels, along with those WMG labels and affiliates based outside the U.S. that wish to release records or recordings in the U.S. The Publishing Department's services include negotiating and securing mechanical licenses from music publishers and paying those music publishers the corresponding mechanical and other license advances, fees, and/or other royalties in an accurate and timely manner.

Here you'll get to:
• You will perform duties and tasks related to copyright administration responsibilities
• You will maintain and update royalty account information for licensing and payment
• You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the VP & Head of Publishing Administration, Licensing and Royalties
• You will assist in publisher entity and account set-ups in the internal copyright system
• You will help track the completion of publishing catalogue and administrative changes
Rockstar candidates will meet the following requirements:
• Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Graduate degree
• You are an effective communicator
• You demonstrate an ability to analyze problems
• You are consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities to a successful conclusion

• Copyright education and/or experience
