Job Description:
A little bit about our team:
Distribution Operations is responsible for all physical supply chain processes across the entirety of product lines under WEA Distribution. The department's core focus is to work cohesively with all WMG divisions and departments globally, as well as outside vendors, carriers, and label partners, to ensure that the highest quality of products are distributed to customers in a timely manner. Key functions shared by the Distribution Operations team include inventory management, manufacturing, order fulfillment, compliance, and logistics.
Why this could be your next big break:
The Director of Inventory Management oversees the team responsible for physical product inventories across all product lines and configurations [excluding Merch New Release], including buying levels and reduction strategies, ensuring that inventory is kept within optimum levels. You are responsible for auditing policy and procedure compliancy both internally and externally (labels, warehouse and vendors). You also coordinate with related departments (Production, Sales, Labels, Distribution, and Communications) to ensure that all scheduled deadlines are met, as well as work with Business Affairs and Finance to coordinate incoming and outgoing label relations and execution of product transfers.
Here you'll get to:
• Oversee the Inventory Management Team to ensure all production and delivery issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Schedule communications with labels, vendors, and distribution center regarding product requirements and due dates.
• Review excess inventory and instruct Inventory Managers of disposition action.
• Coordinate third party changes of distribution, including Schedule A details, product set-up deadlines, inventory transfers, and customer announcements.
• Manage Inventory Control Policy updates.
• Work with Finance and Label Management on roster reduction and obsolescence.
• Administer employee performance through coaching, conducting performance reviews, creating appropriate training and development plans as needed.
• Continually review processes for efficiency gains.

• Are able to execute and manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
• You possess an acute attention to detail.
• You have eloquent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Are deadline and task-driven; efficient and punctual.
• Are resourceful and intuitive.
• You are able to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Social Media proficiency
• Possess and readily share thorough knowledge of our department, organization, and industry.
• Bachelor's Degree related to Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Have 3 years related experience in distribution logistics.
• Have 2 years related experience in music industry.
