Job Title: (Temp) Director, Global Artist Brand Management
A little bit about our team:
The Global Catalogue Department is responsible for maximizing revenues and consumer exposure for the catalogue of Warner Music artists and assets around the world.

The temporary Director, Global Artist Brand Management is responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategy for the artist and their brand, over all forms of media. Primary goals are to maximize visibility for catalogue artists and monetize WMG assets, with an increased focus on streaming and digital platforms, as well as the traditional physical formats. Serving as the primary source of information, inspiration and consumer connection on assigned artist projects is the Manager, Global Artist Brand Management's main focus. They work with key Warner Music Catalogue affiliates around the world to build dynamic and unified marketing campaigns for our catalogue artists.
Here you'll get to:
• Artist brand management 'from the ground up' – working with artist management and A & R to determine the long and short-term strategies to connect consumers with the artists' music.
• Primary focus of the position will be to create marketing moments and tools to drive consumption on streaming services. The candidate will analyze the artists streaming base, sales and consumption history, available content, and ongoing touring activities to build marketing plans around their catalogue.
• Knowledge of music from the '90s and '00s is a key attribute for this position.
• Poses a deep understanding of catalogue music streaming best practices. Create 'Always On' marketing moments to increase streams for key tracks and playlists. Innovate and help push the consumer transition to streaming for deep catalogue tracks.
• Create digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing tools and data base information. Should be fluent in data analytics.
• Experience with content marketing and social influencers is key.
• Work with A & R on product development, based on available content. Create new streaming, digital and physical releases.
• Gather data required for P & L analysis.
• Ensure projects are cleared with Business Affairs, Publishing and Licensing departments.
• Work with Art and Production to decide on project imaging, packaging, design concepts, routing and securing artist approvals in a traditional Product Manager role.
• Work with the Publicity department to finalize announcement strategies, and ensure these are executed on a global level on all WMG and the artist's properties.
• Develop marketing tools tailored to each project. Create pre-roll trailers, TV spots, ads, posters, banners, photos, etc. and deliver to deadline for each affiliate.
• Facilitate digital marketing campaigns on a global level on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social media outlets. A working knowledge of executing social media marketing is required.
• Be the key label contact for your artists, and solve any issues they may have. Act as conduit to communicate release plan, progress, and results. Facilitate ancillary needs.
• Report progress to senior management, identifying and flagging any challenges.
• Manage project budgets.
• Arm WEA/Sales with creative, timely and impactful brand info and marketing drivers.
• Coordinate promotional events and grassroots efforts.
• Keep apprised of market developments, like-artists, label activity, and competitive products.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Knowledge of Warner Music Group systems is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in strategic marketing, planning, and implementation.
• Music/Entertainment industry experience with an understanding of the streaming, online, social media, publicity, promotions, product development and sales fields.
• Deep knowledge of music released in the last 25 years is key.
• Ability to think creatively, plan and execute both the details and big picture. Proactive and nimble problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Marketing and/or business background
• Graduate college degree
