Job Title: Director, Corporate Communications
A little bit about our team:
The Corporate Communications team works to protect and promote the value of WMG's music, people, brands and cultures. The team partners with internal clients and external stakeholders to tell the story of WMG's broad range of talent both internally and externally. It has a dozen members across LA, New York, London and Hong Kong. It is headed by our Chief Communications Officer, who reports directly to WMG's CEO. This role reports to the SVP of Communications.
Your role:
This is an amazing opportunity to take up a pioneering role at one of the world's biggest and most influential music companies. We're a highly collaborative team that connects with the whole company, around the globe. You'll work closely with senior corporate executives across many departments including Technology, Business Development, Finance, Legal and HR. You'll be tasked with creating and executing thoughtful communications campaigns for these departments and their projects.
Here you'll get to:
• You will be a key player in the global Corp Comms team – work alongside experts in design, marketing and investor relations
• Work closely with key executives to help tell the story of the ways WMG supports artists, songwriters, and people
• Develop and execute communications plans and materials that exemplify WMG's commitment to innovation as a future-focused music and entertainment company
• Help us develop and maintain media contacts from a range of new and existing outlets
• Be part of a team that's evolving its approach to comms to tap new opportunities and reach fresh audiences
• Help with the organization and smooth running of internal communications and in-house events involving artists, guest speakers and others
• Help coordinate the communications response to crisis situations across social media, the press and internally
About you:
• You have minimum of 8 years' experience of working in communications
• You have an enthusiastic disposition and the ability to work in a global team
• You can build and maintain good relationships with a wide variety of people, from top level corporate executives to frontline creative employees
• You are up for the challenge of helping modernize our communications – from boosting our presence on social media, through using more video and photography, to placing stories outside the traditional trade and business media
• You have demonstrable strong organizational and time management skills
We'd love it if you also had:
• The ability to work in a pressurized environment with conflicting priorities
• A real passion for music
• A background in technology
• A warm, friendly, collaborative working style
Don't be discouraged if you don't hear from us right away. We're taking our time to review all resumes, and to find the best people for WMG.
Thanks for your interest in working for WMG. We love it here, and think you will, too.
